Greetings NARI PNW Members,
Spring is upon us and with it a promise of a brighter (and less socially distanced) future. Although we all look forward to the day when we can gather again in person we are not quite there yet. Until then we have some great educational opportunities planned via Zoom. Although we realize Zoom fatigue is real, there is value in staying connected and educating ourselves any way we can until that day when we can gather again in person. Please check out our Schedule of Events and sign up today!
In addition, NARI PNW is working hard to build brand recognition among the general public of our organization and why clients should hire NARI contractors. As a result, the staff at NARI PNW are receiving more inquiries than usual. In order to pass these leads on, we need to know what types of projects you are wanting referred to you. Please take a few minutes to fill out this survey so we can funnel the right customers to your business.
I look forward to seeing at our next event!

NARI PNW Workforce Committee:
One of the easiest ways for our members to volunteer to interact with students and encourage them to consider a career in residential construction is to participate in mock interviews. We have numerous job titles and responsibilities in our industry, and it would be great to share those with our youth as well as market our industry in a very positive fashion.
During this COVID lockdown, all of these interviews have been online. The great thing is, you can sign up for a time and day that is convenient for your schedule. Typically the school gives you a set of sample questions to draw from as well as tips and tricks to make the interview successful. On the day of the interview, you will be given a resume from each student. After the interview, you fill out an evaluation form with constructive feedback to help the student in the future.
The next Virtual Mock Interview Event will take place over the course of two days, Tuesday, April 6th and Wednesday, April 7th both days are from 9am – 11am. You do not have to be in a hiring position to participate, and no experience is needed! Click here to register.

Wagner Designs is a residential design firm focusing on additions, remodels, as-builts, and to a lesser degree new construction. The company has been in business since the late 1990's and is committed to helping home-owners and builders achieve their dreams. Jim's role as a designer is to take the ideas and concepts of the client(s) and help that become reality. From the initial meeting to receiving permitted plans, the process includes not only Jim but a team consisting of the client(s), builder, engineer & draftsman to make this dream come alive. More recently he has become passionate about the housing needs of the disabled & the aging population of Baby Boomers. This led him to get involved in ReFIT & become CAPS certified. The golf tournament is in a few months & look forward to seeing some of you there, if not sooner!

Douglas G. is a lovely 89-year-old veteran who served in the US Airforce and spent a year in Korea. He has lived in his home since 1977. His beloved wife passed away in 2003 and he doesn’t have close family to help him. Douglas has only 1 bathroom and his tub/shower is separating from the wall. In order to shower he must pull his legs up over the edge of the tub which is dangerous because it puts him at an extreme risk for a fall.
The Urban League referred Douglas to ReFIT for help. Refit began soliciting donations and volunteers for Douglas’ bathroom remodel in March. Chris and Deanna Campbell of Campbell Tile Concepts has volunteered to manage the project and has graciously donated all new tile for a new bathroom. Bob Strong from EnviroTest has also donated free asbestos testing. The project is set to start May 15th.
